Bachelor in BA (Hons) Professional Acting

For Bachelor in BA (Hons) Professional Acting, the tuition fee is 26,631 GBP per year; applications are due 2027-03-08.

BA (Hons) Professional Acting is a three-year conservatoire training course preparing students for careers as independent, creative professional actors across theatre, film, TV and audio. Training is built around an ensemble model, with core classes in voice, singing, movement, and classical and contemporary acting technique, alongside improvisation and self-created work.

Year one covers foundational acting, voice, movement and singing skills. Year two develops character and style work across genres including Shakespeare, European naturalism, comedy and musical theatre, and introduces screen and audio performance, virtual production (motion capture and LED Volume), and a new writing project with professional playwrights. Year three centres on public productions staged across LAMDA's three performance spaces, a professionally produced short film and audio drama, and industry-facing showcases with casting directors and agents.

The course is awarded by LAMDA, which has held degree-awarding powers since August 2021. It is currently undergoing a scheduled revalidation for 2027/28 entry, meaning some course details may change before the next intake begins.
