Bachelor in Bsc Hons Paramedic Science Placements Information

For Bachelor in Bsc Hons Paramedic Science Placements Information, tuition costs 18,500 GBP per year.

Clinical placements form the backbone of this degree, requiring a minimum of 485 hours per year across diverse healthcare settings throughout the South West of England. By integrating theory with intensive hands-on experience, students gain exposure to the full spectrum of paramedic practice, ranging from emergency ambulance response to specialized care in mental health, paediatrics, and primary care environments.

Integrated Clinical Exposure

The curriculum is structured to ensure that practical learning is not merely supplementary but central to your professional development. Students rotate through a variety of high-stakes environments, including:

• Ambulance service stations
• A&E departments and Minor Injuries Units
• Specialist clinical areas such as anaesthetics, maternity, and coronary care

Because these placements take place across Cornwall, Devon, and Somerset, students should anticipate the need to relocate or travel to maximize their learning opportunities. This immersive approach ensures that by the final year, graduates are fully prepared to translate complex clinical theory into the immediate, autonomous decision-making required of a newly qualified paramedic.
