Master in Computational Methods in Engineering (CoME)

For Master in Computational Methods in Engineering (CoME), applications close 15 Jul; tuition is No tuition fees; 311.30 EUR/semester.

The Master's programme in Computational Methods in Engineering (CoME) at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg covers the fundamental concepts, techniques, and tools for modelling, simulation, and analysis of complex systems using computers. The programme sits at the interface of mechanical engineering, process engineering, computer science, and mathematics, and is aimed at graduates in engineering fields and related areas of mathematics and computer science. The 4-semester programme begins in the winter semester. The structure consists of a compulsory area with 11 modules (each 5 CP), an interdisciplinary project area with two modules (each 5 CP), an elective area with four technical modules and one free elective module (each 5 CP), and a final Master's thesis (30 CP). The compulsory and elective areas are distributed over the first three semesters. Modules from computer science, mathematics, and engineering departments are closely interconnected from the first semester, giving students exposure to a broad range of simulation application areas early in the programme. The programme is offered at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg in Magdeburg, Germany.
