Bachelor in Dentistry

Dentistry covers the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases and conditions of the teeth, gums, and oral tissues. Students study foundational sciences including anatomy, physiology, and microbiology before moving into dental-specific coursework such as prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry. The program combines classroom instruction with preclinical simulation training and supervised clinical practice, where students treat patients under faculty supervision. Instruction also addresses dental materials, imaging techniques, and infection control practices relevant to clinical settings. Upon graduation, students are qualified to enter general dental practice or pursue further specialization in areas such as orthodontics or oral surgery through postgraduate education. This bachelor's program runs for 5 years and is taught in English at Istanbul Medipol University in İstanbul, Turkey. As a private institution with its own clinical infrastructure, the university provides students with structured access to patient care throughout their studies.
