English Translation and Interpreting trains students to work professionally between English and their native language, developing both advanced language proficiency and specialized skills in written translation and oral interpreting. Coursework typically covers translation of legal, technical, literary, and commercial texts, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting practice, contrastive linguistics, and terminology management, alongside the study of translation theory and professional ethics. Students also gain familiarity with computer-assisted translation tools that are now standard across the language services industry. This bachelor program is offered by Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University, a state institution located in Erzincan, Turkey, and takes 4 years of full-time study to complete, with instruction delivered in English. The English-medium format supports deep immersion in the target language, helping students build the accuracy and fluency required for professional translation and interpreting work across a range of specialized fields. Graduates typically pursue careers as freelance or in-house translators, conference or liaison interpreters, localization specialists, and language consultants for organizations that operate across English and their native language. Others find roles in publishing, media, tourism, international organizations, or diplomatic services, while some continue into graduate study in translation studies or applied linguistics. Because English serves as a global language of business, science, and diplomacy, the degree opens career paths across a wide range of sectors that depend on accurate cross-language communication.
