Health science at WSG University in Poland is a bachelor's degree taught in English over 3 years, offered under the title Applied Medical Science. The program enables preparation for continuing into medical professions such as education, rescue services, physiotherapy, dietetics, medicine, and dentistry, as well as methodological preparation for conducting scientific research in health and medicine. During the program, students build qualifications and practical skills across subjects including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, psychology, pharmacology, medicine, English medical terminology, laboratory diagnostics, the organization of management and health protection, and research methodology and statistics. The degree gives graduates the option to apply their training in research roles, to enter a medical-industry role, or to continue on to further medicine study. WSG draws on considerable practical potential in this field, with placements carried out in areas including rehabilitation, dietetics, mental health, neurologopedics, sports medicine, counseling, prophylaxis, and diagnostics. The university's academic strength spans years of medical study across physiotherapy, dietetics, nursing, management and wellness, midwifery, emergency medical services, and management in health care (MBA), supported by facilities including a Medical Simulation Center, a Laboratory of Fundamentals of Engineering, and genetics laboratories, along with a Department of Senses. Graduates of applied medical science programs of this kind typically move into allied health roles, laboratory and diagnostic positions, or continue toward specialized professional training in nursing, physiotherapy, or medicine, both within Poland and in health systems abroad that recognize the qualification.
