İç Mimarlık ve Çevre Tasarımı

This program trains students to design functional, aesthetic, and human-centered interior and environmental spaces, combining artistic sensibility with technical and practical knowledge. Coursework typically covers design principles, spatial planning, materials and construction methods, lighting design, furniture and product design, computer-aided design software, and environmental design theory, along with studio-based projects that require students to plan and present complete interior spaces. Students learn to consider function, comfort, safety, and sustainability when designing spaces for residential, commercial, and public use, while developing skills in drafting, visualization, and design presentation. Graduates commonly pursue careers as interior designers, environmental designers, exhibition designers, or design consultants, working independently or within architecture and design firms, real estate development, and hospitality industries. Some continue into graduate study in design, architecture, or related creative fields. The discipline requires both creative vision and technical precision, since designers must balance aesthetic goals with structural, regulatory, and budgetary constraints. This program is offered at Fenerbahçe University in İstanbul, Turkey, and is taught in English, giving students an internationally oriented design education. It runs for 4 years at the bachelor level, combining studio practice with theoretical coursework in design and the built environment. Graduates leave the program equipped to enter the design profession or continue into further specialized study.
