Bachelor in Interior Architecture

Tuition fees for Bachelor in Interior Architecture are 99,000 TRY per year.

Interior Architecture focuses on the design of interior spaces, addressing how layout, materials, lighting, and furnishings shape how people use and experience buildings. Coursework typically includes design studios, the history of interiors and furniture, materials and construction detailing, technical drawing, and digital modeling, often alongside courses on lighting design and building systems. As students advance through the program, projects grow more complex, moving from small residential spaces toward larger commercial, institutional, or adaptive reuse projects, and students learn to balance aesthetic, functional, and technical requirements. Graduates typically work as interior architects or designers, in architectural firms, design consultancies, or in related fields such as exhibition and retail design, and the degree can also lead to further professional or graduate study. This four-year bachelor's program is offered by Istanbul Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey, with instruction in English, which allows students to engage with international design literature and professional practice. The program follows a studio-based teaching model similar to architecture, in which students develop and present design projects under faculty guidance, supported by coursework in materials, construction, and design history. Istanbul's rich architectural heritage, spanning many historical periods, gives students access to a wide range of interior spaces and building types that inform both historical study and design projects. Across the four years of study, students build a design portfolio and gain the technical knowledge needed to plan interior spaces that meet both practical and aesthetic requirements, preparing them for professional practice in interior architecture and design.
