Uluslararası İlişkiler

International Relations examines how states, international organizations, and other global actors interact through diplomacy, trade, conflict, and cooperation. Coursework typically includes international law, foreign policy analysis, global political economy, and regional studies, often supported by history and comparative politics courses. This 4 year bachelor program is delivered in English at Istanbul Arel University in İstanbul, Turkey. Istanbul's location bridging Europe and Asia places students at the center of discussions on regional and global affairs, from European integration to Middle Eastern politics. Students learn to analyze foreign policy decisions, evaluate the role of international institutions, and research complex geopolitical issues, developing strong writing and argumentation skills throughout. Graduates commonly pursue careers in diplomacy, international organizations, government agencies, journalism, and non-governmental organizations, while others continue into graduate study in international affairs, law, or public policy. The discipline requires close attention to current events, since international relations theory is applied continuously to unfolding situations around the world. An English-medium program in Istanbul offers international students a vantage point with direct relevance to Eurasian, European, and Middle Eastern affairs. Across the four years, coursework builds from foundational political theory toward specialized international relations topics, preparing graduates for careers that combine analytical thinking with cross-cultural communication skills.
