Master in Medicine

UMFST's Doctor of Medicine (MD) programme is a six-year, 360-ECTS course taught entirely in English, split into pre-clinical and clinical stages and delivered across four teaching modules per year. Accredited by ARACIS in 2022 and internationally accredited by IAAR since 2023, the programme enrols around 150 students annually and leads to a bachelor's-level diploma recognised within the European Union on completion. Admission runs on a continuous, rolling basis rather than fixed exam dates, with candidates assessed by file evaluation and an English-language interview conducted online. Graduates go on to careers in public and private hospitals, academic medicine or research, and the programme forms part of UMFST's broader push to build an international, multicultural teaching environment in Târgu Mureș.
