This six-year, 360-ECTS Medicine programme at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova is taught in English and admits international students by evaluation of their academic file rather than an entrance exam. For the 2026-2027 intake, 60 places are reserved for EU/EEA/Swiss applicants and 30 for non-EU applicants. The curriculum follows Romania's standard integrated medical education model, though practical work and clinical training switch to Romanian from the fourth year onward to prepare students for direct patient contact in local teaching hospitals. The degree is recognised across the European Union under EU sectoral directives, and Craiova offers a smaller, lower-cost alternative to Romania's larger medical schools while retaining full ARACIS accreditation.
