USAMV Cluj-Napoca's Veterinary Medicine programme is a six-year, 360-ECTS degree taught in English at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, one of Romania's oldest veterinary schools with teaching roots dating to 1785. The faculty is accredited by the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE) and ranked in the 2024 Shanghai Global Ranking, with training delivered through specialised clinics, an emergency animal hospital, and an Experimental Teaching Station used for large-animal and farm practice. The curriculum spans anatomy, physiology, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology and clinical sciences, with hands-on rotations in internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics, dermatology and infectious disease, plus electives such as Veterinary Mycology and Laboratory Animal Science. Admission to the English/French line is a separate competition from the Romanian track, ranked solely on the candidate's baccalaureate average, and graduates go on to clinical practice, public health, food safety and research careers across Europe.
