MFA Professional Acting is a two-year postgraduate conservatoire training course combining rigorous acting training with industry-level project work, awarded as a Master of Fine Arts degree by LAMDA. Training runs mainly in small groups, covering Advanced Acting, Screen & Audio, Music, Movement and Voice.

Year one covers the core disciplines of Acting, Voice, Movement and Music in intensive classes, workshop projects spanning contemporary and classical texts and European naturalism, and an introduction to screen and audio performance and a new writing project. Year two centres on a series of stage, screen and audio performances, including a professionally produced short film, and a collaborative, self-created piece of original theatre. Graduating MFA actors also take part in the Shakespeare in Schools programme, performing fast-paced Shakespeare adaptations for secondary schools.

The course is aimed at those who already hold a BA/BFA degree, or have equivalent vocational experience, and are looking to take their training further.
