Master in Quantum Technologies in Electrical and Computer Engineering (QTEC)

For Master in Quantum Technologies in Electrical and Computer Engineering (QTEC), tuition is No tuition fees; 440 EUR/semester.

The Quantum Technologies in Electrical and Computer Engineering (QTEC) Master's programme at Technische Universität Braunschweig is a four-semester English-language degree oriented toward electrical engineering and information technology, with a focus on quantum technology applications. Core subject areas draw from physics, computer science, and mathematics. Students complete compulsory fundamentals in advanced quantum technology, quantum information technology, and electromagnetic field theory, then choose elective modules in quantum structure devices, quantum information processing, and related topics. The programme includes an interdisciplinary qualification component covering professionalisation, either an industry internship or a Master's team project, and a seminar. TU Braunschweig cooperates closely with Leibniz University Hannover for this programme, giving students the option to complete additional modules at Leibniz's Faculty of Mathematics and Physics. The programme concludes with a Master's thesis and oral examination. The degree accepts entry in both winter and summer semesters and is based at Technische Universität Braunschweig in Braunschweig, Germany.
