The Scientific Computing Master's programme at the University of Bayreuth is an international programme for students working at the intersection of mathematics, computer science, and application fields. Each year includes a modelling seminar in the summer semester and a status seminar in the winter semester; students must attend two of each. An industrial internship, a practical course in parallel numerical methods, and a module on key skills are required elements. The programme concludes with a Master's thesis on an individual research project. The programme spans 4 semesters and admits students in both winter and summer semesters. It is an elite degree programme supported by the Elite Network of Bavaria and offers special financial support and intensive supervision.
