Supported Internship (Pathways)

The Supported Internship (Pathways) program at Bedford College is a one-year, non-degree course for students with an Education, Health and Care Plan who want to gain work experience. It helps students get paid jobs, volunteer, or become apprentices. The program offers coaching and guidance to help students apply for jobs.

Students attend college sessions on job readiness, functional skills, and workshops for specific roles. They work with a job coach to develop employability skills. This hands-on approach prepares students for the workforce and helps them become independent and confident.

Graduates can become Administrative Assistants, Retail Assistants, or Customer Service Representatives. They can work for local businesses, non-profits, or government agencies. The skills they learn can be used in many industries, helping them grow in their careers.
