Bilgisayar Mühendisliği

Computer Engineering combines principles from computer science and electrical engineering to design and build computing systems, covering both hardware and software. Coursework typically includes programming, data structures and algorithms, computer architecture, digital logic design, operating systems, computer networks, and embedded systems, alongside mathematics and physics foundations. Students learn to design circuits and processors as well as to develop software that runs on them, gaining experience through labs and projects that involve building and testing systems end to end. Graduates work as software engineers, hardware engineers, systems architects, network engineers, and in roles spanning technology companies, telecommunications, embedded systems development, and research, with many continuing to graduate study in computer engineering or computer science. This bachelor's program in Computer Engineering is offered by Boğaziçi University in İstanbul, Turkey, running for 4 years with instruction in English. English-medium instruction reflects the field's technical literature and international collaboration norms, and it prepares graduates for work at multinational technology firms and for graduate programs conducted in English. Located in İstanbul, students have access to a large and growing technology sector, including software companies, startups, and research centers, which provides opportunities for internships and exposure to industry practice alongside academic coursework. The program fits students who want a rigorous, hands-on foundation spanning both the hardware and software sides of computing, preparing them for the wide range of technical roles available in a field that continues to expand across nearly every industry.
