Bilgisayar Mühendisliği

Computer Engineering combines principles of computer science and electrical engineering to design and build computing hardware and software systems. Coursework typically covers programming, data structures and algorithms, computer architecture, operating systems, digital logic design, and computer networks, along with mathematics and physics foundations. Students gain hands-on experience through lab work and projects that involve building software applications, working with embedded systems, and understanding how hardware and software interact. Graduates commonly work as software developers, systems engineers, embedded systems engineers, or network engineers, and many pursue graduate study in computer science or specialized engineering fields. This bachelor's program at Istanbul Topkapı University in İstanbul, Turkey runs for 4 years and is taught in English, a widely used language in technical documentation, programming, and international software development collaboration. İstanbul's growing technology sector, including software companies and startups, gives students access to internship and employment opportunities relevant to their studies. The 4-year curriculum generally starts with mathematics, physics, and programming fundamentals before moving into specialized engineering courses and a capstone project in later years. Students interested in building both software and hardware systems, rather than one or the other, will find this program's combined engineering approach useful preparation for a broad range of technology careers, from application development to systems design.
