MA Acting for Screen is a one-year, full-time professional training programme focused on acting for film, television and screen-related media. Primarily for those with prior training or professional experience, the course builds on existing acting skills through psychophysical methods (Michael Chekhov, Stanislavski) with a specific emphasis on screen technique - shot size, hitting the mark, and adapting performance across soap, drama and comedy styles.

• Terms 1-3 performance projects put classwork into practice, including a silent short film covering visual storyboarding and editing
• Summer term Short Drama Project: a professionally shot, professionally written short film, commissioned for Central and screened as a West End showcase; past films have screened at Sundance, London Film Festival and Raindance
• Sustained Independent Project: research portfolio, dissertation, or a produced/performed short film
