Master of Science in Software Engineering

The international MSc in Software Engineering at the University of Hildesheim provides a thorough grounding in software engineering methods and techniques alongside training in selected application domains. The programme covers modern information systems, cyber-physical systems, and AI-enabled software, combining scientific foundations with practical work to develop both understanding and execution skills. The four-semester programme has a methodological core accounting for 65% of the curriculum, an application area component of 10%, and a Master's thesis making up the remaining 25%. Core taught modules cover software engineering, requirements engineering, programming languages, advanced web development, research methods, model-based software engineering, software architecture, and software engineering tools.
