Master in Software Engineering for Industrial Applications (MEng)

The MEng in Software Engineering for Industrial Applications at Hof University of Applied Sciences is designed for graduates with a Bachelor's in Software Engineering or Computer Science who have professional experience and want to move into leadership roles. The programme covers software management, web technology, IoT, advanced programming, component-oriented software development, cloud computing, non-relational databases, and project management, with teaching methods that include cloud computing exercises and international collaboration with partner universities. The programme spans four semesters and is available with both winter and summer semester entry. The first two semesters deliver practice-oriented theory through case studies, excursions, and expert meetings. The third and fourth semesters are structured as industry internship semesters, during which students also complete the Master's thesis in cooperation with a company. German language courses at levels A1 and A2 are integrated as elective modules and are mandatory for students without prior German skills.
