Science in Architecture is a master's degree program at Lodz University of Technology, taught in English in Lodz, Poland, over 1.5 year, with a yearly tuition fee of 16000 PLN. With many elective modules, students can choose the topics that interest them, including their semester project topics and course leader. Future interior designers are prepared for creative professional activity in interior design, design fundamentals, exhibition and stage design, and auxiliary tasks in construction, architecture, and urban planning, working both individually and in teams. Students can choose a curriculum path focused on interior design at higher semesters, creating opportunities to collaborate with specialists from other fields of the arts and humanities on design projects. Technical studies also build skills for working across other technical disciplines and for managing the execution of interior design processes in both newly designed and adapted buildings. Under the applicable regulations, the inzynier architekt degree awarded on completion of a first-cycle architecture program is required for graduates who wish to pursue, after completing a second-cycle program, unlimited professional certification in architecture. Architecture as a discipline combines technical, artistic, and regulatory knowledge, requiring an understanding of structural principles, materials, and building codes alongside spatial design and aesthetics. A 1.5 year master's program of this kind typically builds on a completed bachelor's degree in architecture, allowing students to specialize further in interior design and design management before entering professional practice or pursuing continued certification within the architecture profession.
