Bilgisayar Mühendisliği

Computer Engineering combines the study of computing hardware and software to design, build, and maintain the systems that run modern technology. The discipline draws on mathematics, physics, and computer science to teach students how digital circuits, processors, and networks function, and how software is written to control and coordinate them. A typical curriculum includes programming, data structures and algorithms, computer architecture, operating systems, database systems, and computer networks, complemented by electives such as artificial intelligence, robotics, embedded systems, or web and mobile application development. Hands-on labs and team projects are a consistent feature of the coursework, giving students repeated practice building and debugging real systems rather than only studying theory. Career paths for graduates include software engineering, systems administration, network design, embedded and hardware development, and technical consulting, with opportunities across sectors such as telecommunications, banking, manufacturing, and software services. The mix of theoretical grounding and applied project work also supports graduates who wish to continue into postgraduate study or specialize further in a subfield of computing. This bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering is offered at Akdeniz University in Antalya, Turkey, and is taught in English over 4 years. Antalya's position as a growing regional center gives students access to a mix of established industry and newer technology ventures, while the university provides the laboratories, faculty, and course structure needed to build a solid technical foundation. Studying in English is intended to give graduates the language skills needed to work with international teams and pursue further education or employment abroad after completing the program.
