Computer Engineering studies the design and development of both computer hardware and the software that runs on it, sitting at the intersection of electrical engineering and computer science. Typical coursework spans programming fundamentals, data structures and algorithms, digital logic and computer architecture, operating systems, computer networks, database systems, and embedded systems design, supported by mathematics and physics. The curriculum gives students insight into computing at multiple levels, from the design of digital circuits and processors to the development of operating systems and application software, so graduates understand how hardware and software interact. Hands-on laboratory work and project assignments are a regular feature, involving tasks such as building digital circuits, developing software applications, and designing embedded systems that combine hardware and code. Many programs offer elective specializations in fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, networking, or software engineering, letting students tailor later coursework to their career interests. Graduates commonly pursue careers as software engineers, hardware designers, systems and network engineers, or embedded systems developers, working across the technology, telecommunications, automotive, and financial services sectors, among others. This bachelor's program is delivered in English over 4 years at Antalya Bilim University, located in Antalya, Turkey. Because programming languages, technical standards, and most computing research are published in English, English-medium instruction gives students direct access to the field's core resources. The four-year curriculum builds from programming and mathematical foundations toward computer architecture, systems software, and applied engineering projects.
