Computer Engineering combines the study of computer hardware and software, covering programming, algorithms, computer architecture, operating systems, and networks. Students typically begin with foundational mathematics and physics before advancing to core engineering subjects such as digital logic design, data structures, and software engineering, with later electives in areas like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, or embedded systems. Laboratory work and project-based coursework are common throughout the program, culminating in many cases with a graduation project addressing a substantive engineering problem. Graduates pursue careers as software developers, systems engineers, network engineers, and hardware designers, and the degree also provides a foundation for graduate study in computing. This bachelor program runs for 4 years and is taught in English at Atılım University in Ankara, Turkey. English-medium instruction is intended to prepare graduates for careers and further study in international technology environments. Ankara's presence as a center for technology-related government agencies and companies offers relevant context for students in this field.
