Computer Engineering combines principles of computer science and electrical engineering to design and build computing systems, covering both hardware and software. A typical curriculum includes programming, data structures and algorithms, computer architecture, operating systems, digital logic design, and computer networks, along with coursework in software engineering and embedded systems. Laboratory work and project-based courses give students hands-on experience building and testing hardware and software systems. Graduates pursue careers as software developers, systems engineers, hardware designers, network engineers, and embedded systems developers across industries such as technology, telecommunications, automotive, and manufacturing, and many continue into graduate study in computer engineering or computer science. The strong technical foundation also supports roles in cybersecurity and systems architecture. This bachelor's program in Computer Engineering is offered by Galatasaray University in İstanbul, Turkey, and is taught in French over four years, consistent with the university's Francophone academic tradition. Students complete technical coursework and laboratory work in French, gaining both engineering skills and French-language technical vocabulary. The four-year curriculum typically progresses from foundational programming and mathematics courses toward specialized topics such as systems design and networks, culminating in project work that prepares graduates for engineering careers in Turkish, French-speaking, and international technology sectors. The program's French-medium instruction at Galatasaray University reflects the university's broader Francophone academic orientation within the Turkish higher education system.
