Bachelor in English studies

The deadline to apply for the Oct 2027 intake is Oct 1, 2027, while tuition comes to 5,400 PLN per year.

The BA in English Studies at the University of Zielona Góra, in Zielona Góra, Poland, is taught in English over 3 years (6 semesters), with yearly tuition of 5,400 PLN. Graduates reach C1 proficiency in English, described as comparable to their native language, and gain knowledge of the language, literature, culture, and history of English-speaking countries. They also learn a second foreign language to at least B1 level, which opens opportunities in publishing, cultural institutions, travel agencies, translation centers, and international businesses. The programme offers two specializations. The Teaching specialization prepares students to teach English in grades 4-8 of primary school; graduates can work in private language schools or continue to MA studies to qualify for teaching at secondary level. The Translation specialization equips students to translate general and specialized texts, including legal, medical, and literary material, and prepares them for roles such as translators, executive assistants, or travel guides. Overall, the programme prepares students for varied careers across education, translation, and international cooperation. This structure, combining core language and cultural study with a choice between teaching and translation tracks, lets students specialize early while keeping later options open, since both tracks can lead into further MA study. Zielona Góra is a university city in western Poland, and studying there gives international students an English-taught bachelor's degree along with a required second foreign language, broadening the languages and markets graduates can work in after they finish.
