Bachelor in English studies

At VIZJA University, tuition is 4,000 USD per year, and applications are due 2026-09-30.

VIZJA University in Warszawa offers a bachelor's degree in English Studies, taught entirely in English over three years. The next intake starts October 1, 2026, with applications accepted until September 30, 2026. English has become a modern lingua franca: it is estimated that one in seven inhabitants of the planet communicates in English, and one in four internet users chooses English as their language on the web. In Poland, as many as 80% of employers expect job candidates to have a command of English at C1/C2 level, so strong English skills can open a path toward professional success. The programme offers three extension modules: Translation Studies, Business, and Education. Each module lets students gain both knowledge and the practical skills needed to work in the language-services market in a broad sense of the term. Beyond the specific modules, a degree of this kind typically builds strong foundations in grammar, writing, translation theory, linguistics, and cross-cultural communication, alongside broader academic skills such as research, argumentation, and presentation. Students who choose the Translation Studies track often develop competence in written and oral translation for business, legal, or literary contexts, while those on the Business module apply English within international commerce, marketing, and management settings. The Education module prepares graduates who want to teach English as a foreign language. Career paths open to English Studies graduates commonly include translation and interpreting, publishing, corporate communications, teaching, tourism, and roles in international organizations, where fluent English combined with disciplinary knowledge is in demand. Warszawa, as the Polish capital and a major business hub, gives students access to companies, cultural institutions, and international organizations where these skills can be applied during and after study.
