"English-taught" describes Gdańsk's named English Division specifically, not a guarantee that every Polish medical school teaches identically — check a shortlisted university's own admissions page rather than assuming. The six-year length is also just the degree itself: Poland's Ministry of Health treats the doctor's postgraduate internship as a separate 13-month stage after graduation, so the time to independent practice runs longer than the headline six years.

Whether a Poland MD is usable back home depends on your national regulator, and in places the specific university, not the degree alone.
