What to weigh

The genuine advantage here is price transparency at the state universities: Karaganda Medical University and al-Farabi Kazakh National University publish full fee grids, and Astana Medical University keeps a plain price table on its foreign-admissions portal. The genuine hazard is the ecosystem around them. Both Astana Medical University and al-Farabi KazNU publish their own anti-fraud notices naming their authorised recruitment partners precisely because unauthorised sites and accounts recruit in their name. If the domain you're reading doesn't match the university's own published one, the price you're quoted isn't the university's price.

Whether a Kazakh medical degree is usable back home depends on your own country's regulator, not on the university's marketing. India's NMC, Pakistan's PM&DC and Nigeria's MDCN each run their own post-return chain — covered step by step in the return-home section below — and each treats the specific institution, not the country, as the unit of recognition.

Is NEET required for MBBS in Kazakhstan?

Two separate questions hide in that one. At admission, it depends on the university — Kazakh National Medical University lists NEET for Indian applicants in its own process, while other schools' published processes are document-and-interview based. As an Indian citizen, though, NEET-UG is required by India's own rules for any primary medical qualification obtained abroad after May 2018, whatever the university asks for. If you plan to return and practise in India, qualify NEET first.
